Plastic Free Thatcham

We are so pleased that in April 2024, Thatcham achieved Plastic Free Community Status from Surfers Against Sewage. Recognising the completing of the 5 objectives set out. These ensured that there is community commitment to genuinely reduce the volume of single use plastics in the environment.

However, we aren't planning to stop there. We aim to sign up more businesses, community groups, schools and work with Thatcham and West Berkshire Councils to further reduce Thatcham's single use plastics.

Thatcham Town Council

Thatcham Town Council have agreed to phase out Single Use Plastics and actively support us.
